Book Review: Queen of Shadows

I recently read Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Mass the fourth book in the Throne of Glass series. If  you haven't read the first three books in the series. Go check them out and read those before reading this.... there are spoilers. My review for the Throne of Glass is linked here, my review for Crown of Midnight is linked here, and my review for Heir of Fire is here.  This is probably going to be a long review since this book itself was so huge and so much happened. Please don't read below there are spoilers if you haven't already read the first three books!
I gave Queen of Shadows 5 out of 5 stars on GoodReads.
This is the GoodReads Synopsis: "The queen has returned.

Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she’s at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past…

She has embraced her identity as Aelin Galathynius, Queen of Terrasen. But before she can reclaim her throne, she must fight.

She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die for her. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen’s triumphant return.

The fourth volume in the New York Times bestselling series continues Celaena’s epic journey and builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world."
Lets get in to the review. First off this book is broken in to two parts. Lady of Shadows and Queen of Light. I liked how this was split; it made complete since to do it that way since there is so much going on.  We continue to read about four different story lines: Celaena's, Chaol, Dorian, and Manon; a witch. I liked this. It gives you a lot more information about what all is going on in different places at once, which is really cool. Since this part of the series is so huge.

I'm going to try and keep this short so that you can enjoy the book as much as I did. The first part, Lady of Shadows, is awesome by this point we have made it back to Rifthold an Celaena aka Aelin is doing exactly like the title says being a lady of shadow.  In this section we see how Aelin creates this huge plan to save not only herself but all of her friends and escape back to  her home Terrasen. The plan that she executes is so mind blowing. Literately this chick thought of everything. You definitely need to go read this so you can be as mind blown as I was.

In our other story lines we see Chaol trying to decide what he want to do with his life now that he lost Celaena and his job as captian of the guard. Again I don't really like Chaol still he's just a pain.
We also try an keep up with Dorain, who's being taken over by the demon inside of him. It's just kinda sad for Dorain.
Lastly Manon. Whoa Manon is awesome! She does a complete 360 in personality and everything. I really like what Sara J. Mass did with this character. Spoiler she ends up helping Aelin in her plan.

The second part Queen of light is all about executing said plan and seeing how Aelin comes to power. I love this once I got to this part I could not put the book down. It was that good.

I would definitely recommenced this book just because it was so mind blowing and awesome. All the details make this amazing.
