Book Review: The Lunar Chronicles: Cress

I recently read Cress by Marissa Meyer the third book in the Lunar ChroniclesPlease don't read below there are spoilers if you haven't already read the book or the others in the series!
I gave Cress 3 out of 5 stars on GoodReads.
This is the GoodReads Synopsis:
"Even in the future. there are damsels in distress...

In the third installment of the Lunar chronicles, Cress, having risked everything to warn Cinder of Queen Levana's evil plan, has a slight problem. She's been imprisoned on a satellite since childhood and has only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress a great hacker. Unfortunately, she's just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.
When a daring rescue of Cress involving Cinder, Captain Thorne, Scarlet, and Wolf goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes as a high price. Meanwhile, Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has."

First, I really loved the character of Cress. She is a girl like me; I love computers and computer hacking it's awesome. I think she makes a great addition to the team as well since that's basically what's going on my now. It's getting a little crowed on that space ship since we add Scarlet and Wolf. Spoiler and Iko as a new escourt android. I was so glad she got a body that matched her personality finally.

Secondly, OMG the desert. Did we have to stay so long in the desert? I got board because so much of this took place in the desert. Cress and Throne walked forever before they finally reached some other people and civilization. I didn't like this at all. I had to stop reading it for a week because it was so bad.

Third, I did like the "kidnap Kai plan " which was about the last 150 pages...I'm telling you this was a LONG book. This part was pretty intense. So I'm glad I pushed through and made it to the end since this was the best part.

I do recommend that you give this book a read and the series, if you want to continue on with the characters and the story. Even though I didn't like the majority of the book I liked the end enough that it made up for it. The next in the series is Winter there will be a book review for that soon. Be on the look out for it.
