Winter Favorites 2022

I have not done one of these in forever! I am excited to get back into these types of postings. I miss the old favorites and everything. These are my favorites from this winter. I found some new things I really have been enjoying this season. What have you been loving? Also with the addition of my job this was a little later than when I wanted to get it posted but anyways here are my favorites.

Beauty

Not your mother's leave-in conditioner- This stuff is the best, it really helped my dry frizzy hair this winter.

Hair tinsel- OMG I saw this on tik-tok and have been loving it ever since. I ordered a rainbow set off of Amazon it has been putting purple, silver, and iridescent in my hair since Christmas.

Clean & Clear watermelon moisturizer- I love the smell of this moisturizer is so good. Plus it's not oily like some other ones I've tied.

Morphe foundation- I picked up this one to try and I love it. It's really smooth on the skin.

E-girl style make-up- totally into this make-up trend right now. I love the graphic liner. I also love that most of these looks involve color which is super fun.

Darling Doll Lashes- These are my favorite lashes I love them. They are so comfortable to wear and go well with the e-girl vibe.

Fashion

Winter boots- Ordered some boots off of Amazon in the duck boot style. They have been so great for this winter and the weather we have had.

Nude tights- Again another Amazon purchase these are so good they are fleece lined so that you can wear skirts and dresses in the winter so helpful.

Plaid skirts- I love a good plaid skirt I think I have bought at least 4 this winter.

Matching sets- I love a good matching set. I bought a Puma one and have almost worn it every week along with my Adeline Morin one.

Headbands Cinderella maid style- I don't know what else to call these they are just super easy to put throw on in the mornings before work when I don't want to fix my hair.

Hoop Earrings- I love hoop earrings. I have probably bought about 3 sets of 10 maybe. They literally go with everything!

Home

Lights for the mirror from Five Below- I had been looking to upgrade my mirror to one with lights on it but those things are so expensive. I found a set of bubble lights at 5 below so 5 dollars basically that did the same thing. I love having more light to do my makeup with in the mornings.

Food

Coffee and ice cream- So Since we got a new coffee maker which I've listed below for technology. I have discovered an Affogato it is so good. It's literally a coffee and ice cream float. So Good!

Tech

Spinn coffee maker- So we ordered this coffee maker a year ago and it finally came. It is one of the best coolest coffee makers ever. It makes expensive coffee shop coffee right at home all through the Spinn app. It also dries the coffee grounds so that there's no messy clean-up.

Canva calendar- I love Canva it is so useful I like that they added a content calendar where you can schedule posts.

Tv & Movies

I've watched so many good movies and shows.

Sulphur Springs- It is so good even though its more of a kid's show I really enjoyed the light mystery of it.

Supernatural Academy- I was thinking this was also a kid's show. It is not by any means the characters are all in college it is very good. I love this witch character and her colored hair.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs- I finally had a chance to check this one out. It was so cute.

The Batman- I could probably do a whole post about the Batman. OMG,w I was pretty impressed that's all I'll say.

Spiderman No Way Home - Amazing need we say more. It was amazing.

Ghostbusters Afterlife- Loved that this was cannon. It was a great way to bring back the original ghostbusters.

West Side Story - this was a great movie so well done and who knows Ansel Elgort could sing.

Encanto - OMG Love this so much! I'm even having my birthday on this theme I love Isobella.

The Woman in the House Across from the Girl in the Window - This was a crazy story I didn't even know what was happening. I also liked that it was shorter episodes.

The Gilded Age- This is so good I think there are still some episodes left but its just like Downtown Abby. I love the wit of the character's banter.

ICarly-  I love the reboot it is everything. I hope they'll continue to make more episodes. Icarly was one of my favorite shows as a kid.

Rupaul - This season it crazy all the girls are so good.

Paris in Love- I am officially obsessed with this show. I love seeing Paris and how much money they spend it is crazy.

Live performances

Anastasia- I did get to go see one live performance. Anastasia from the touring broadway cast was incredible. Could not ask for it to be any better.

Spring & Quarantine Favorites Part 2 - 2020

I know a few month ago I did a Quarantine favorites so I wanted to do a part two and some spring favorites. Since there are more shows and things I have been loving. Plus these are some great recommendations for things to watch or do since we're all still mostly stuck at home.

TV Shows
These are some of the shows I have been watching here lately and been loving.

The Librarians (Hulu)
I just started watching this one with my boyfriend. I really like it. I love Cassandra's character. I also like that is got a lot of mythology and that its all about a magical library.

Baywatch (Hulu)
I have been totally in to the 80's and their shows. Baywatch is classic 80's TV. Plus there are a ton of seasons to watch. I love the character of Shawnee. If you'd like to see a classic 80's tutorial on my YouTube channel let me know.

Dallas (Amazon Prime)
Another classic 80's show.  I wanted to watch this one since I heard about it on a document series. It's great. I totally see how 80's TV set up the ideal's for today shows since Dallas is a little bit more risky.

Rupaul (Hulu & VH1)
Of course we have to talk about the new season of All Stars. It's great! Plus I have been watch old seasons of Rupual on Hulu since they have both regular drag race and All Stars.

Queer Eye (Netflix)
Hello a new season just dropped and it was amazing. I love Queer Eye. I also love Tan Frances Sunglasses so I may have ordered them. There's more on them below.

The 100 (Netflix)
I had been scrolling over this one on Netflix for some time and then I finally gave in and started it. It's so good. I'm a sucker though for a good dystopian series. It's literally like one bad thing and then the next. Kinda like the real world right now.

Riverdale (Netflix)
Of course I'm rewatching the past seasons and getting ready to watch the new seasons. I love Riverdale and all the characters. I have quite a few tutorial up for Toni, Cheril, and Veronica.

Crafts
I have been enjoying making bracelets again much like to ones you see. I used to make these all the time when I was in high school. I have so gotten in to making these again. All you need is emboridery floss and some patterns. You can find a bunch on my Pintrest and at https://www.braceletbook.com/ and https://friendship-bracelets.net/patterns

Free Virtual Classes
So I just wanted to mention that I have found a website were you can take free classes or pay for them if you'd like a certificate. It's called EDX. You can take classes from all kinds of different colleges like Harvard. I have signed up and stated working though some web and gaming classes. I really like them and enjoy learning some different things. Also, it's helped me add more skills that I can offer for Web Design. You can find out more on my other website here.

                                                              Beauty and Fashion
Tan Frances sunglasses. The ones I found are from Dubranchet brand. They also have the red Toney Stark sunglasses as well. Super cool! You can check them out here: https://www.dubranchet.com/
Clothes from Shein. You can check out my full haul here.
Taking blush and putting it on not just the apples of my checks but on my nose. It adds so much to your look. It really gives you a sun kissed glow. I saw Adline Morin and Gigi Good do this little trick and loved it.
Schrunchies instead of regular hair bands. I only ordered a pack of 15 lol.
Also, my new bangs I wanted to change it up for summer so I got full choppy bangs similar to Rosanna Panisano's like in the picture.
Lastly of course the bracelets I have been making. There all so fun and great for                                                                                                      spring/summer.

Quarantine Favorites 2020

I know with everyone staying in we have all found new things to like. Plus I saw several other people doing a quarantine favorites. I don't know about you but I know I had so many thing  I was behind on and wanted to catch up with and start. I would definitively say I haven't been board. These are my quarantine favorites.

TV shows and Movies

Let's jump right in to this one. I have been loving so many shows lately that I hadn't had time to watch till now. I also have a few more that are still on my list so hopefully I can get to them too. Most of these you can watch for free on the CW or CW Seed, Free Form. There are a few that you have to pay for like Netflix and Broadway HD. Also, let me say I would totally recommend any of the shows or movies. These are grouped by station or producing company.
These shows include:
1.Nancy Drew (The CW). I freaking love this show its so good. I loved it so much I did a Youtube tutorial for some of the hairstyles. Which you can check out here. But back to Nancy Drew it really is great I love the mystery and Nancy and her group of friends especially Bess. She has great style.

2. Katy Keene(The CW). This one is so great if your really in to fashion, New York, and preforming. This show is awesome its got all kinds of nods to past Broadway shows and icons. I absolutely love it. I was definitively hooked from episode 1, when Ginger is auditioning for a show. It's very Chorus Line.

3. The Carrie Diaries (The CW Seed). This one it one that I totally just saw a commercial for and way like "What Carrie Bradshaw as a teenager, I gotta check this one out." It totally has not disappointed at all, I love it. There is also a book series which I think would be super interesting. Also, I love her hair. I'm living for the 80's curls.

4. The Letter for the King (Netflix) This one was surprisingly great and that's why it has made this list. I really liked the magic and the kids in this show. They all have a great dynamic.

5. Uploaded ( Amazon Prime) So I totally just binged watch this whole show in a night. I loved it, it was so good and hilarious. I also liked the mystery that happens too. I definitively think the whole VR thing is so huge. It definitely reminded me of Ready Play One a little bit so if your looking for that kind of feel this show is a great option.

6. Motherland Fort Salem (Free Form) I was hooked on this from the commercial. I love anything Books, Movies, Tv shows about witches. This one is a different take in that witches are part of the army. Totally cool! I love that their all in a military like school learning witchcraft. It's great.

7. Siren ( Free Form) This one is one that I have been following since it came out. I still love it since its all about mermaids. Not just like sweet mermaids but ones that are lethal. Again another great Free Form show.

8. Onward and Frozen 2( Disney+) I was so glad Disney decided to release this one to Disney + and Frozen 2. I'm such a lover of Disney so these were so great. I thought Onward was so cute and a great story. And if you know me you know I LOVE Frozen. like LOVE IT! I'm going to leave it there since I could totally make a whole post and video about Frozen.

9. Broadway HD/ The Show Must Go On. I love Broadway shows, musicals, and preforming arts. Since I am a preforming artist myself these have been two great resources to watch shows on. I originally got Broadway HD for 42nd Street. Which was absolutely amazing. Holy Crap the tap in it and costumes. I love them, I think I might even have a tutorial coming soon for it, (wink, wink) I also liked that Andrew Lloyd Webber has been releasing his shows on Youtube for free. I love several of them like Phantom of the Opera and Cats.

Crafts
Moving in to a craft project that I have been totally in to is cross stitching. I know it totally sounds like a grandma thing to do but its so fun and relaxing. Plus it take minimal supplies, its literally a piece of cloth, embroidery floss, and a needle. I know you can get these from even Walmart and of course you can order online. Theses are some examples from my Pinterest. Baby Yoda is so cute, right? I have several over there saved over there. From easy like Yoda to more complicated like the houses. Which are stunning! I am currently working on Gingerbread House which is super cute. Mine actually came from a pattern kit but as you can see from the examples this possibilities are endless and you can get patterns from pretty much anywhere. If you can't or don't want a pattern kit.

Video Games

Lastly, one thing that I didn't have a lot of time for was video games. I literally have like 6 or so brand new games that I have wanted to play for so long. So I actually started back in to one of my favorite series Assassins Creed. Omg I love it. I literally forgot how great these games were. I also like that Syndicate is in London. I'm living for it. I also have been playing Plants vs. Zombies. It's really fun too I love Sergeant Sunflower. You can let me  me know if you want me to Twitch stream any of these games. I'm not the best but I love playing.

That's pretty much it for my favorites so far. What have you all been enjoying? Have you binged watched a lot of shows, done puzzles, watched movies, or tried a new hobby. Let me know down below.

Things to do When You're at Home

With everyone stuck at home because of everything that is happening in the world right now withe COVID-19. I figured I share some of my favorite things that I enjoy doing when I'm at home. I also work at home part of the time so there will be another blog coming soon with  my best productivity tips. Since I know not everyone will have everyday full of free time. I've love to know your fave's in the comments below. On to the favorites:

Another great thing to watch are shows that you never had time for or re-watching a favorite show. I love find new and old show to watch or re-watch. Again like with movies its a great time to binge watch.

3. Read books
So if you have been following me for a while you know I love books and read. I have so many book reviews here on my blog along with book recommendations. Also, I just put up a new book haul on my YouTube channel. There are so many good books and now would be a prefect time to pick one or a series up. There are several different resources to be able to get books now as well to get books digitally. Here is a list of places to download or borrow books.
These are some of my absolute favorites when it come to books.

6. Do a Puzzle
This is a great activity that you can do. I love puzzles. I have several at my house or you can download digital apps that allow you to do puzzles on your phone or mobile device.

7. Baking, Cooking or Learning a New Skill
I also love baking, I'm not too big on the cooking. But being able to try new recipes is fun and is a good way to learn a new skill. These are a few of my favorite recipes.
Also, there are several sites where you can learn new skills not just in cooking but in other areas like calligraphy, drawing or coding. Here are a few of those sites.
Of course you can look up anything on Youtube and Skillshare is another great platform to learn from.

8. Play video games or board games
This is a big one since I have so many video games that I want to get to and play. Now is the prefect time to get to those games that I haven't had time for. These are a few of the games that I have already played and enjoyed. I'd love to know what game you enjoy. I also like playing board games with my family and boyfriend. We love playing trivia games like Trival prustite. Here are all of my favorites:

9. Color
I know this is kinda of a trendy thing but I love adult coloring books. I have several that I have gotten as gifts in the past. This are so fun and they make beautiful pictures that you can use on notebooks or in frames as pictures. Its also another great thing to share with your friends on social media.

10. Organize/clean
My last suggestion is to organize and clean. If your like me this maybe your least favorite. I know I put off cleaning since its not very fun but since now there is more time its a great time way to get cleaned up and things put away. I know my closet and makeup are the worst.

I hope these tips help you. If you have anymore tips or favorites leave them in the comments below. Please don’t forget to like, comment, and follow for  more of my posts.
