Book Review: Crown of Midnight

I recently read Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Mass the second book the the Throne of Glass series. If you haven't read the first book Throne of Glass, you can check out my review here.  Go read Throne of Glass before you read this review. It will have spoilers!
I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads. I, over all, liked this book and you'll get to see why below.
First this is the synopsis from Goodreads "Assassin Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become the King's Champion. But she is far from loyal to the crown. Though she hides her secret vigilantly, her deadly charade becomes difficult when she realizes she is not the only one seeking justice. No one is above questioning her allegiance—not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a foreign princess with a rebel heart.

Then, one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an unspeakable tragedy. As Celaena's world shatters, she will be forced to decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie ... and whom she is willing to fight for."

Again we have the same characters from the first book. As you know I love Celaenas character. She so wonderful and is even better in this book.

The plot for this one is a little slow but that maybe because this is going to be an epic fantasy, as far as I can tell.....I'm on the fourth book now. I also didn't really like that one of the main characters dies, killing characters isn't good especially when they have so much impact on the main character, cough cough, trying not to spoil it too much. I did like that we get so much information near the end of the book. I made the whole book worth it.

I would definitely recommend reading this book after reading the first one. It really helps to grow the series and gives the reader more information.
