Book Recommendation: Doon
This past summer when I was traveling I read Doon by Carly Corp and Lorie Langdon. It was an amazingly awesome book with characters to die for. Think you would not be disappointed if you went and picked this one up. I just started reading the second one last night, Destined for Doon, and I can already tell it's not going to disappoint.

Book Review: Ruby Red
This past weekend I read Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. Before I get in to my review (which will be spoiler free) let me tell you a little about the book and what I thought going in to it.
First the book is set in modern day London with a main character named Gwyneth Shepherd. As Goodreads says: " Gwyneth Shepherd's sophisticated, beautiful cousin Charlotte has been prepared her entire life for traveling through time. But unexpectedly, it is Gwyneth, who in the middle of class takes a sudden spin to a different era!
Gwyneth must now unearth the mystery of why her mother would lie about her birth date to ward off suspicion about her ability, brush up on her history, and work with Gideon--the time traveler from a similarly gifted family that passes the gene through its male line, and whose presence becomes, in time, less insufferable and more essential. Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust."
When I first heard of this book, I was like that sounds super interesting and awesome. Who does love time travel? Plus the hype for this book is crazy. Tons and tons of people have told me how good it is.
Now that I have read it. It's not all that great. I would give it three and a half stars out of five. I just didn't like the writing style it was very confusing for about the frirst 40 pages of the book. I almost put it down due to this. I'm glad I didn't though the actually story is pretty good over all. Although, I did have some problems with how to we find out information and we still didn't really have a good wrap up at the end. Maybe this was because the book it's self is only 230 and some odd pages long. I didn't feel like we really got to the "meat" of the story till about page 190, 200ish. Considering that this is only a trilogy, I'm just wondering how were going to get a complete picture of the world and solve the mystery.
Would I recommend this book? Yeah probably it is definitely a super quick read. I almost read it in one setting, not because it was that good but because I kept hoping it would get better and I really needed a short read to help catch me up on my reading goal.
I hope this helps you decided to read or not read this book. If you do read it leave me a comment telling me what you thought about it. Don't forget to follow me on my social media: the links are below.
Till next time,
Thanks and Love you Lots <3

Summer Favorites
I can’t believe that summers is almost over. This summer was filled with so many good things so lets get in to my favorites.
Starting with beauty items:
First thing, I loved this summer was the Aveeno shave gel and the Aveeno loation. These things were absolutely amazing for my dry, itchy skin. I will definitely continue to use these.
Next, was Hard Candies felt tip liner. This is wonderful, it is so much easier to apply a cat eye with this tip. I loved how smooth it glided on and it lasts all day. Plus, its from the drugstore for about 5 or 6 dollars; that’s awesome. While we’re on Hard Candy Makeup. The peach colored highlighter looked so good this summer. You know how some highlighter can be a little too much this one was perfect at adding that nice glow to my skin.
Next, was Bath and Body Works shower gel in Beach Breeze. This is from their summer collection and it smelled like the beach: super coconuty, is that a word, with that summer sun smell added in. While we’re on B&BW their summer body spray in Guava Pineapple Splash, smell’s so good. It’s like summer put in a bottle. I love this stuff, I should have bought two bottles instead of one.
Next was the Body Shop’s body butter in coconut. This stuff went on so smoothly and it didn’t leave that greasy feeling like some body butters do. Plus, it was so moisturizing on my arms.
Now on to Fashion items:
First. was the Sabika jewerly (it’s not really Sabika, it’s the homemade kind) that I got from the local craft show. These earring in particular go with anything. I got a pair of just pain crystal and a pinky/peachy crystal color.
Also, I love flower crowns…. hopefully a tutorial for how to make the one pictured above along with some others will go up soon; so be on the look out for that.
I, also, have been loving wearing fedora hats. The one pictured has a cute like pink flower on the side of it. These hats made a wonderful addition to any “beachy” outfit.
Lastly, I found out why everyone loves their doughnut bun makers. These things are so easy to use. Especially when you want to get your hair done quickly in the mornings. The bun maker makes it so easy to put your hair up and look put together in a few minutes. I definitely recommend getting one if you don’t have one.
Now on the household items:
I got a new wax warmer for my room. I works so good and it doesn’t use the impossible to find light bulbs. You can just plug this one in and turn it on and it will melt the wax cubs just as good and the light bulb ones.
Food items that I have enjoyed over the summer:
Of course there’s always some kind of food that goes with the season, Watermelon and cantaloupe, were the ones that I really enjoyed this summer. Along with caramel apples these were just so good I had to tell you about them.
That pretty much wraps up my summer favorites. Let me know what you liked about summer and what some of your favorites were.
Love you lots
September: To Be Read
These are the books I hope to read in the month of September. I hope this will be a good reading month for me.
I can’t wait to read this book. The first one was so good that after I finished reading it I went straight to the books store to buy this one.
I’ve been meaning to read this one for awhile now. I finally got my hands on a copy and can now see if it is worth the hype.
I love Josephine Angelini’s writing in Trial by Fire so I thought I would check out her other series to see if it was any good.
These last two I don’t know which i want to read more or if I can get to both of them that would be great since I’m a little behind on my reading goal for the year.
Plan with Me! September: 14-20

Tip Tuesday
Putting your nail polish in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before you want to paint your nails really does help it to glide on smoothly. It does prolong the drying time though

Book Recommendation
This week I’m recommending Trial By Fire by Josephine Angelini. This book was so amazing, you have to go check it out. It’s set in an awesome world and the characters are totally cool, not to mention they can do magic. Who doesn’t love magic?
Also, the second one Firewalker just came out today.
You can purchase both these books on amazon.
Love you lots,
