Things to do When You're at Home

With everyone stuck at home because of everything that is happening in the world right now withe COVID-19. I figured I share some of my favorite things that I enjoy doing when I'm at home. I also work at home part of the time so there will be another blog coming soon with  my best productivity tips. Since I know not everyone will have everyday full of free time. I've love to know your fave's in the comments below. On to the favorites:

1. Watch movies
I absolutely love watching movies. There are so many good ones and with more time at home you can binge watch a movie series like Harry Potter or Pirates of the Caribbean. These are a few of my favorite movies that I enjoy watching over and over.

2. Watch shows
Another great thing to watch are shows that you never had time for or re-watching a favorite show. I love find new and old show to watch or re-watch. Again like with movies its a great time to binge watch.

3. Read books
So if you have been following me for a while you know I love books and read. I have so many book reviews here on my blog along with book recommendations. Also, I just put up a new book haul on my YouTube channel. There are so many good books and now would be a prefect time to pick one or a series up. There are several different resources to be able to get books now as well to get books digitally. Here is a list of places to download or borrow books.
These are some of my absolute favorites when it come to books.

4. Blog
Since your reading this your actually on a blog already so why not start your own. I love blogging and the connections you can make though it. I run two blogs right now this one that's about lifestyle and one about technology. If your looking to get started in blogging your welcome to contact me through my other website here. 5. Make YouTube Videos
Another good thing to do that I enjoy a lot is making YouTube videos. You can check out my channel here. I make bookish, beauty and lifestyle videos. But you can make videos about anything and everything. It's really a fun platform to connect with others one. Again if you need help getting started with a channel you can check out my website or drop a comment below.

6. Do a Puzzle
This is a great activity that you can do. I love puzzles. I have several at my house or you can download digital apps that allow you to do puzzles on your phone or mobile device.

7. Baking, Cooking or Learning a New Skill
I also love baking, I'm not too big on the cooking. But being able to try new recipes is fun and is a good way to learn a new skill. These are a few of my favorite recipes.
Also, there are several sites where you can learn new skills not just in cooking but in other areas like calligraphy, drawing or coding. Here are a few of those sites.
Of course you can look up anything on Youtube and Skillshare is another great platform to learn from.

8. Play video games or board games
This is a big one since I have so many video games that I want to get to and play. Now is the prefect time to get to those games that I haven't had time for. These are a few of the games that I have already played and enjoyed. I'd love to know what game you enjoy. I also like playing board games with my family and boyfriend. We love playing trivia games like Trival prustite. Here are all of my favorites:

9. Color
I know this is kinda of a trendy thing but I love adult coloring books. I have several that I have gotten as gifts in the past. This are so fun and they make beautiful pictures that you can use on notebooks or in frames as pictures. Its also another great thing to share with your friends on social media.

10. Organize/clean
My last suggestion is to organize and clean. If your like me this maybe your least favorite. I know I put off cleaning since its not very fun but since now there is more time its a great time way to get cleaned up and things put away. I know my closet and makeup are the worst.

Book Review: Scythe

Hi everyone,
I recently finished Scythe by Neal Shusterman. I gave this book 4.5ish out of 5 stars on Goodreads. You can see more about what this book is about here before heading in to my review.   Before I get in to the review you can check out my March 2020 TBR to see it and the other books I'm reading this month. I'd love to know what your reading this month as week let me know either here in the comments or on my video.

Now hopping on in to the review and this is spoiler free. I really liked Scythe. I was definitely drawn in from page one. I liked how we immediately got what the whole premise of the series is about. I think this is a pretty interesting concept for a dystonia; even though having characters that are in charge of population control is not a new concept. I think that since this is from two points of view of apprentices, Rowan and Citra, that it makes it slightly different than other books in its genera. Which brings me to the two characters of Citra and Rowan. I definitely liked both of them and their stories. I think I like Rowans a bit more interesting just because his story was darker than Citra's and we really get to see the corruption within the Sythedom first hand. I also liked that the way the book is structured is very easy to tell which point of view your in. Since we all know I'm not the biggest fan of multiple points of view.
As for the actual story the pace was pretty moderate. I liked that we got information about both sides of the Scythdom as the story progresses. I can not wait to see what happens in the next two books. I won't spoil the end but I will say that the end is the best part and its a good thing I already have book two.

Over all I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys dystonia novels. I'm so glad I picked this one up and read it. Also, if your looking for other books I have recent reviews up for make sure you check out Marked, and the Lost Heroes of Olympus series: The Lost HeroSon of Neptune and Mark of Athena.

If you've read this book let me know what your thoughts are and what your reading right now in the comments.

Thanks for reading,  please don’t forget to like, comment, and follow for more of my posts.

Plan with Me! March 16th-22nd

I absolutely love decorating my planner. I thought I’d start sharing them with you so maybe you could get some inspiration too.

To the side is photo of my week for March 16th- 22nd.

This week I used scrapbook paper and washi tape. This was a pretty simple spreed. I didn't want to take as much time as I do when printing stickers so this fit perfectly for this week.

How do you like to decorate you planner? Do you like to use scrapbook paper as another way to decorate. I'd love to hear your thoughts below about how you decorate your planner.
