The Joy of Christmas Book Tag 2018

Hi everyone, 

It's been awhile since I've done a book tag. So today I thought I'd share with your The Joy of Christmas Book Tag that was created by Samantha at Novels and Nonsense on YouTube. Before we get in to the tag what are some of your favorite Christmas reads, let me know down below. Now let's hop on it to this tag and I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. 

1) Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?
For me anything Cassandra Claire and Sara J. Mass. I also can't wait for Sasha Alsberg's second book in her Androma series. 

2) Christmas Songs & Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing it's praises?
This year I really got in to the Sci-fi genera. I found so many books that were great. I really enjoyed The Starbound novels I read by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, WarCross by Marie Lu, and Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I would recommend that you check these out. I have reviews for WarCross and Ready Player One. Which you can check out by clicking the links.

3) Gingerbread Houses: What book or series has wonderful world building?
I really like the world building in The Crowns Games by Evelyn Sky. It's set in imperial Russia with some magical elements. This was super cool.

4) A Christmas Carol: Favorite classic or one that you want to read.
I don't really have one. Classics are not my thing, I just can't get in to them. Does anyone else feel this way? I end up falling asleep just tying to get                                                           through the first pages most of the time.

5) Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas?
I would like to receive Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Mass.

6) Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?
I'm going to say Doon by  Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon. I don't really read a lot of contemporary which I think is what most people would be put for this answer. I tend to stay in the high fantasy or sic-fi genera. But I think Doon has a good love story that is sweet along with the                                                              fantasy side.

7) Christmas Trees & Decorations: What are some of your favorite book covers?
These are a few of my favorite book covers.

8) Christmas Joy: What are some of your favorite things about Christmas And/Or some of your favorite Christmas memories?

Some of my favorite things about Christmas are the decorations, food, and Nutcracker. I think my favorite decoration is having a Christmas tree in almost every room of my house. Their just so pretty. I also love having gingerbread at Christmas; it just wouldn't be Christmas with                                                                                          out having a Gingerbread man cookie. Lastly, I                                                                                        love getting to be in the ballet of the Nutcracker                                                                                      Suite. This production just makes my holiday.

Fall Favorites 2018

Hi everyone, 

These are my Fall Favorites for 2018. I got this tag from Love, Geeky Girl. Here's a link to her tag. I've also added a few of my own questions and some of my Fall essentials to the original tag as well. 
And I have a new video on my YouTube channel using one of my favorite pallets.
Hope you enjoy and lets hop on in to this tag. 

1. What is your favorite thing about Fall? 

My favorite thing about Fall is the change from hot to cool and all the colors the trees change to. I think it makes for a really pretty landscape. Also Fall food is the best all the pumpkin spiced everything, I love that! 

2. What is your favorite Fall candle/wax melts scent?

Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Pumpkin Caramel Swirl, Leaves, Pumpkin S'mores Latte, Caramel Bread Pudding, Pumpkin Marshmallow Topping. Pretty much anything that smells sweet and warm. 

3. What is your favorite Fall drink?

This is so easy a Pumpkin Spiced Latte and Apple Cider. 

4. What is your favorite trend for Fall? 

Teal and orange eye shadows, I'm totally in love with these colors. I might be doing a video using one of these colors on my channel next. 

5. Ankle boots or knee high boots? 

Both and over the knee boots 

6. Pumpkin Pie or Apple Pie? 

Again both. 

7. Do you go pumpkin picking every year as a tradition? 

I used to when I was a kid. I didn't get to go the past few years though. 

8. Have you ever carved a pumpkin? 

Yes every Halloween I do. 

9. What’s your favorite color for Fall?

This year I'm really loving the yellow's and green's.

10. Number one must have to get you through Fall? 

I have to have a Pumpkin Spiced Latte and some big books. I'm currently reading A Discovery of Witches. 

11. Favorite Fall Make-up Essentials? 
Rose Gold and Mint Chocolate Pallet, Colorpop Disney Collection Pallet, Burgundy Bar,  Better Than Sex Mascara, Wet n' Wild Catsuit Liquid Lips and Highlighters and Fabulous Hairspray. 
12. Favorite Fall Movies/ Shows? 
So since I got Hulu I've been totally enjoying shows on there. These are my current favorites: Last Man Standing, Light As A Feather, and Salior Moon. On Netflex: I have been obsessed with The Great British Baking Show and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. (It's really odd to watch a show about someone with the same name as you, btw) 
13. Favorite Fall Foods? 
Pumpkin Bread and Pumpkin pie.

Halloween Book Tag 2018

Hi everyone,

Happy Halloween. I thought this tag for fitting since last week was Halloween so lets hop on in to it. 

1.) Favorite Scary (Must Read) For Halloween?
I chose Mara Dyer for this. It's just a creepy read that will keep you up all night. 

2.) Scariest Book Cover, Like Ever?
I haven't read this book yet but the cover is pretty scary and creepy. Look at the girl she's holding an ax and is in half darkness. 

3.) If You Could Go Trick-or-Treating With Any Author, Who Would You Pick?
I would have to pick Cassandra Claire. I think that she would be great to trick-or-teat with since she is so interesting. 

4.) If You Could Dress Up As Any Bookish Character For Halloween, Who Would You Be?

I would be Winter from The Lunar Chronicles; since she is like Snow White but with a few twists. 

5.) If You Could Find Anything (From Any Book) In Your Trick-or-Treat Stash, What Would You Hope To Find?
I would definitively want a magic wand. Then I could cast all kinds of spells.

6.) In What Fictional World Would You Like To Go Trick-or-Treating?
I think going trick-or-treating in the Hotel of the Thousandth Floor would be super cool since everything is inside and the higher the floor the better candy since higher floors have richer people on them. 


7.) What Book Villain Would You Not Like To Meet Alone In A Dark Alley On Halloween?
Definitely Jack the Ripper, that would be way way too scary. 

8.) Would You Rather Dress Up As A Vampire, Zombie, Werewolf, or Shadowhunter?
I would definitely want to go as a Shadowhunter. Be on the look out for a tutorial coming soon. 

9.) Pick A Candy (Just One) From Harry Potter That You Would Love To Find In Your Stash?
I would definitely want to try a Pumpkin pasty. Maybe I'll try making these one day. 

10.) What Is Your Favorite Halloween Candy?

This year I really fell in love with Hearsy's Gold. It is so good.

Fall Book Tag 2018

It's been awhile since I've done a book tag so I thought I would answer one today. Since its finally colder and feels like fall I figured I would do the Fall Time Cozy Time Tag. I believe this one has been around awhile and I've done it before in the past but here are a few of my favorite blogs that have recently done this tag:

1. Crunching Leaves: the world is full of color.

Pick a book that has reds oranges and yellows on it.
I choose This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman & Megan Spooner. Its got a galaxy themed red, orange and yellow going on.

2. Cozy Sweater: It’s finally cold enough for you to pull out your warm clothing!

What book gives you the warm fuzzies?
I choose the last book in The Mortal Instruments series, City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. I think this really tied things up at the end in a nice way. 

3. Fall Storm: the wind is howling the rain is pounding.

Choose your favorite book or genre that you love to read on a rainy day.
I have recently read The Magnus Chase series, it was so good. I think that any of Rick Riordans' Books are good to curl up with when its cold and rainy. Their just so good and the characters are so funny. 

4. Cool Crisp Air 

 What is one cool character that you would love to trade places with?
I think changing places with Evie O'Neill would be pretty awesome since the setting is the 1920's. I love the flapper era and plus she has a pretty cool power. I don't want to spoil anything so I definitely recommend you check this one out. 

5. Hot Apple Cider 

What is one under hyped book that you want to become the next big thing?
I have 3 books that I haven't heard anyone really talk much about but I think all of these deserve to be the next big thing. I really enjoyed each of these books and found the stories to be super interesting. I have book reviews for These Broken Stars and Warcross; you can click on the links to check those out. Let me know if you would like a Dead Beautiful book review. Also, the Dead Beautiful Book cover just screams fall, don't you think? 

6. Coats, Scarves, and Mittens: When the weather has turned cold and it’s time to cover up.

What is one embarrassing book cover you own and like to keep covered up?

I don't think I have read any books recently that I would want to cover up. I think I have gotten to the point that it doesn't really matter what the cover has on it. But then again I'm into Sci-fi, Fantasy, and Urban Fantasy. Most of these covers aren't over the top crazy like some covers. 

7. Pumpkin Spice 

What are your fall time comfort foods?
Omg the fall food. I love anything Pumpkin Spice, it's so good. 

8.Warm Cozy Bonfires
